YearsAhead

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 6, 2026

Draft document This reflects how the app currently works, but hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet. It should be finalized by legal counsel before public launch.

1. Who can use YearsAhead

YearsAhead is intended for adults aged 50 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that all information in your profile is accurate.

2. Your account

You sign in using your Google account. You're responsible for keeping that account secure, and for anything that happens under your YearsAhead profile. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact us right away.

3. Community conduct

YearsAhead is built around respectful, honest connection. You agree not to impersonate anyone, harass or threaten other members, ask other members for money, or use the app for any unlawful purpose. Verified status can be removed and accounts suspended for violating these terms.

3a. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

YearsAhead has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This is strictly prohibited, and any account found to violate this will be immediately and permanently banned. We remove any such content the moment we become aware of it and report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement, as required by law. Reports can be submitted in-app from any profile or message (see Report & Block), or by contacting our child safety point of contact at safety@yearsahead.app.

4. Safety is a shared responsibility

We build tools to help you connect safely — identity verification, in-app messaging, and reporting — but we can't guarantee the conduct of any member, and we're not responsible for what happens if you choose to meet another member in person. Please review our Safety Center before meeting anyone.

5. Content you share

You keep ownership of your profile content (photos, bio, messages). By posting it on YearsAhead, you give us permission to display it to other members as part of the normal operation of the app — for example, showing your profile to someone you're introduced to.

6. Community events

Any member can host an event visible to the community. Hosts are responsible for the events they create. YearsAhead isn't involved in organizing, insuring, or supervising events hosted by members.

7. Ending your account

You can deactivate your account at any time from Profile > Account. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll do our best to let you know about significant changes.

9. Contact
